I've just filed http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315254 to
address the problem with each and every tool hanging on FreeBSD.  At
this point g-s-t is useless on FreeBSD, and I haven't been able to find
a fix.  Have you had any luck with this?
