Wow! I've been annoyed by this for months. Thanks, Joe (and Frank, for
asking)!! BTW, I had to add the key, and I already had a key named
print_printer, set to lpr.
I held off asking because I thought the problem was with CUPS, which I
still have not gotten my arms around after years of using the good old BSD
print system.
In case it isn't obvious, the gconf-editor can be found on the Applications
menu as System Tools / Configuration Editor.
