firefox-1.0.1.p: no keyboard arrows in form elements

After upgrading from firefox-0.9.3_1 to -1.0.1.p the keyboard
focus is very strange in form elements.

For instance, right now I can type the message just fine, but
If I want to go back with the arrows to fix a typo, the arrows
instead operate the scrollbar at the bottom of the screen
(if there is one) or else do nothing.

If I hold the shift key that works -- I can select text using
shift+arrow keys.
