We've been providing a cpan mirror for years now (rsync && https).
I'm happy to accommodate FreeBSD in any way I can. I already host a
bunch of the source for ports I maintain. So I mirrored your bundles
on the same host. Speaking of ports, I also went one further, and
added a distinfo style file for each of the bundles
