I am in favor of this approach, and naming scheme, rather than using 
next flavor of version control software (even though git technically 
isn't vcs) explicitly named list (e.g., cvs-doc-all, svn-doc-all).  Is 
this approach and shift being using across migration of subversion to 
git?
