Firefox reliably dumps core trying to display:

I can't figure out how to compile with debugging symbols. "pstack"
on my core file says:

(core file "firefox.core"): /usr/local/bin/firefox

which seems less than helpful. "make WITH_DEBUG=yes" doesn't seem
to get me debugging symbols. If you can tell me how to compile
with symbols I will try to get you a more helpful stack trace. But
the cited page crashes 100% of the time. -- George
