Also could you try the patch from
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3Dports/164239
I tried on 9.0-STABLE and 10.0-STABLE (both amd64, both running LDAP
users, connecting via nss-ldap).
I see no change in my case. This patch does not help in Thunderbird 10
