And it's a valid question/concern :) (especially when there isn't clear documentation noting what's in progress and what's not).. fuse does exist, and is somewhat functional the last time I heard (and have seen firsthand with some 3rd party apps like open-vm-tools), but I haven't seen anything about this filesystem on the lists yet and google hasn't really turned up anything quickly either. So, my gut instinct says no, but there might be someone doing a skunkworks project somewhere that hasn't been publicly noted.
