Regarding mknod

Hi,
If I run "make load " from /usr/share/examples/kld/cdev/module directory
then I'm getting the following error message .

# make load 
mknod /dev/cdev c 32 0 
mknod: /dev/cdev : No such file or directory 
*****Error code 1

Even if I execute the " mknod /dev/cdev c 32 0 " command at the terminal
I'm getting the same error message .


What is the reason for this ?
Please tell me the solution as well ..
