Maybe you can support values such as f8+, like USE_GCC for instance.

This was added a couple months ago to allow the FreeBSD ftp servers
to mirror the flashsupport distfile. That still doesn't seem to be
happening even though make clean-restricted works and doesn't delete
this file. Who can be contacted for this, portmgr?
