It seems that automatic inclusion of files named Makefile.${ARCH},
Makefile.${OPSYS}, Makefile.${ARCH}-${OPSYS}, Makefile.inc, Makefile.local done
by bsd.ports.mk (lines 1235-1265) is not documented in the handbook.
