I performed two separate installs on a new virtual disk and could not reproduce
the separate mount point in the auto-disk partitioning.  In my case, I used
both auto (UFS) and auto (ZFS) for the test and the 12-RELEASE DVD ISO.  It
seems the separate mount point is somehow user created.
