While trying to implement vlans I was checking the handbook as well as man
pages for ifconfig and vlan.  I identified additional mechanisms that are in
place and are useful.  Attaching proposal for update.  Also fixed one
grammatical error (a list of prepositions posing as a sentence).

I tried to follow instructions on
https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/fdp-primer/book.html#overview-quick-start,
but the number of tags for this was a bit daunting
