Ahhh... that makes it clearer.  I'm not a wordsmith, but maybe verbiage for the
-R option along the lines of:

reinstalls any out of date packages that require the given package. If you also
add the -f flag, it will reinstall dependent packages even if there is not a
newer version of that package.
