https://www.freebsd.org/doc/handbook/firewalls-ipfw.html says after
setting up rc.conf to run "service ipfw start".  This will get you
locked out as it doesn't use the firewall_type from rc.conf - that has
to be passed as an argument to the command, e.g. "service ipfw start
open".  As documented, only the default deny rule is applied and you'd
better have console access...
