Hi was wondering if you could add this event in the event section (I know
it is pretty much last minute),

There will be a linuxfest on the island of Mauritius (Indian ocean), at the
University of Mauritius from 9hr to 14hr (MUT). Basically there will be a
few people who will present various open source software or systems out
there, in a view to get youngsters to adopt open source in general.
There will be a short presentation on most BSDs in general, why it is a
worthwhile alternative, the main difference with GNU and BSD, and
philosophies that distinguish BSDs. It will also end up with a demo of some
BSD installed. There will also be a stand where anyone can just bring in
their pendrives and take a copy of either one of these:

NetBSD
OpenBSD
FreeBSD
PC-BSD

(Ofcourse there will also be GNU/Linux distros also)
Everyone is invited.
