 Addendum:
 
 The 'proper' manual appears to be in /usr/src/libexec/ftpd/ftpchroot.5 
 (and there's /usr/src/libexec/ftpd/ftpd.8 as well).

 I think the entire ftpd sub-system needs a complete 'man overhaul' ...
