images in handbook

hi!
i was wondering whether there is a reason why there are only a few
images in the handbook. is this a styleguide rule for the handbook to
make it more "portable" and independent in respect to different formats?
i think especially in the desktop relevant sections, it would be very
helpful for the user the get some kind of preview about how the
application actually look like.
i also think it is helpful to show people new to freebsd or who have not
been to freebsd before, how freebsd actually looks (of course its only
how applications look) - i remember people frequently asking at booths
to "see" freebsd.
