error in my-*.cnf files

In the /usr/local/share/mysql/my-*.cnf files, there is an option
"key_buffer". Shouldn't this be "key_buffer_size" as described in the MySQL
Documentation (
http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/server-system-variables.html) ?
