FreeBSD and MySQL - mysqld eats CPU alive

That's too bad.  MySQL can run quite well on FreeBSD.

Yes, it's FreeBSD's broken DNS libraries.  Add skip-name-resolve to
your my.cnf and the problem will probably go away.
