priority of paths to kernel modules?

Then we limit it knob to only those platforms we wish to remove it from 
now. I suggested default off however in a private email I received it 
was intimated to me that default on for the first while would be 
better. Personally, I don't care about the minutia but I do care that 
we have some kind of migration roadmap.
