regression suspend/resume on Lenovo T420

So, after keep building some more worlds i've discovered the commit 
after which resume does not work anymore. r316736 is the last working 
one, r316737 breaks it for me (There is also no mouse cursor on the 
console anymore after this commit).

Any hints?
