Hi Craig,
    I have a potential fix for this on my github branch (I ATFified the testcase and fixed some broken assumptions; I'll find the PR later). Now that boot is fixed on head I can upgrade, and will see about testing out the fix. If I don't get to it today, I'll look at fixing it when I'm down at MeetBSD.
