Use FreeBSD-specific `xterm-clear' termcap record, e.g.
$ xterm -xrm 'XTerm.termName: xterm-clear' # or add to ~/.Xdefaults
or alter xterm alias to point to it so that ca_mode works even if you
ssh to Linux box that doesn't have the record.
