8.0RC2 amd64 - kernel panic running make buildworld

I'll answer my own question, no:

Although the some of the posts in

http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11305

indicate any model < 0x40.  Someone must have actually narrowed the range.
