chromium does not support paste from xterm to omnibox ?

Hi,
just noticed that after an upgrade to chromium 37 i cannot paste
anymore from an xterm to the omnibox (i use windowmaker as a wm).
I can however paste to other input boxs in a web page (including
the one on google's home page) so it must be something explicitly
implemented in recent Chromium versions.

I wonder whether there is a flag or something to re-enable the
feature ?
