Since I also see garbled output with two different CH340G adapters at 1.5Mbps,
as well as a PL2303, I assume there is something fishy.
I will see what happens with the anlyzer.

I agree, since many adapters arn't capable of doing 1.5Mbps.
Not to mention the byte losses.
