Disapearing pl2303 usb serial adapter on rpi2

Hi,

As previously suggested, you should absolutely try connecting the pl2303 to the Pi through a _powered_ USB hub. If it operates correctly like that, the Pi USB ports don’t supply enough power to run the pl2303 reliably and software won’t fix that.

Note that "The USB ports on a Raspberry Pi have a design loading of 100mA each...”[1] which is the absolute minimum allowed by the USB spec.
