Linaro has newer UEFI firmware builds for AArch64 QEMU at
https://wiki.linaro.org/LEG/UEFIforQEMU and I've just now checked and
found that it boots the most recent FreeBSD arm64 memstick snapshot.

The specific one I tested was:
