I built a FreeBSD-armv6-11.0-RPI-B-r279900.img image with crochet.  This was the latest
revision when I built it.  On the Pi 2, the unmodified image boots to the so called rainbow
screen and stays there.

repository (git://git.denx.de/projects/u-boot.git), or is there a better u-boot repository to
use at this point?
