This was the missing piece of the puzzle for me.  I now have an image
that is in the process of compiling ports-mgmt/pkg, hopefully on the
way to building CUPS, and that recognizes my Lexmark printer.  Many,
many thanks to all the people who got us this far!

Even though it's documented right there in config.sh.sample, it was
easy for me to skip this step, and of course I ended up with a clang
build instead of a gcc build, and it wasn't close to being stable at
all.  I sincerely hope clang can catch up soon on the ARM.   -- George
