Sorry for being a bit rude here, but such arguments can be applied to
any work within the project. Some examples below:

| introduce support for yet another security mechanism in the kernel
| that has little usage by other pieces of software (yet).

| spend time fixing bugs in sh(1).

And yet, people appreciate ZFS, Capsicum and the work jilles@ is doing
on many of our base system utilities. Keep in mind that there are quite
some people on the project who hack for fun -- not because their
employer/contractor has some kind of agenda.
