The oldest open PR is i386/105, which bemoans the sorry state
of libm with respect to proper error/exception handling.  AFAIK,
this issue affects all *BSD.  I glanced at the opendarwin source
tree and noted that some work has been done in this area.  Is 
this on your radar?
