Not exactly the same, but similar, I'm running an Opteron 4228 HE on:
FreeBSD 9.1-PRERELEASE #4 r241041M: Mon Oct 15 23:30:25 PDT 2012
    jmg at gold.funkthat.com:/usr/src.9stable/sys/amd64/compile/gold amd64

The only "issue" I had was lots of error messages when ever powerd would
change processor speed... There is a patch out there to fix it...

I haven't been having issues w/ ZFS... I have a fully GELI+ZFS system,
both root and data store and its working fine... I'm using an HPT2720SGL
adapter for most of the disks issues so far..

The system is lightly loaded, but has been working well...
