Installing FreeBSD-amd64 on intel xeon processor

Hi,
     We are installing FreeBSD-amd64 on xeon processor . It is getting
installed properly.

We have our built machine with xeon processor and which is having
FreeBSD-i386(32 bit)installed on it  and we are building our application on
it. The application runs fine on FreeBSD-i386 systems.

The appllication coredumps when run on  FreeBSD-amd64 system.

what can be the reason ??
