Hello,
Shouldn't it be possible to run linux-opera on FreeBSD 6.0-stable /
amd64?
Here is what I get:
root at kg-quiet# uname -a
FreeBSD kg-quiet.kg4.no 6.0-STABLE FreeBSD 6.0-STABLE #0: Thu Dec 8
00:56:05 CET 2005 root at kg-quiet.kg4.no:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/QUIET
amd64 root at kg-quiet# portversion -v | grep opera
linux-opera-8.51.20051114 = up-to-date with port
root at kg-quiet# ll /usr/X11R6/share/linux-opera/bin/opera
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root wheel 12059892 Dec 13 00:35
/usr/X11R6/share/linux-opera/bin/opera*
root at kg-quiet# file /usr/X11R6/share/linux-opera/bin/opera
/usr/X11R6/share/linux-opera/bin/opera: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel
80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.0.0, dynamically linked (uses
shared libs), stripped
When I try to run opera (as my normal user), I get:
tingo at kg-quiet$ /usr/X11R6/share/linux-opera/bin/opera
opera: Preference initialization failure. File not found or could not be
opened (-7)
Why doesn't it find the prerefence file? And which preference file?
I note that the native opera for FreeBSD/i386 installs a wrapper script,
but linux-opera doesn't seem to do this.
