I only used GENERIC kernel which has NO_MIXED_MODE enabled.
I'm not really into ACPI/APIC, but it works now with this line
commented.

I'm not blaming you for the suggestions you give, but for the way
you give them.
Note: About the patch to amd64.sgml, I'll contact some doc
committers and try to submit you something before I leave for
vacation. I guess you'll be pleased to ask people here for feedback
about their mobos.
