The patch won't apply. Please send diff -u (or diff -c) output next
time. :-) This isn't quite the right fix.

You specified what you did to make it work, but this isn't commitable.
On i386 we don't want to --ignorearch. We also don't want to hardcode
'i386' as this breaks the port on Alpha.
I've committed s/MACHINE_ARCH/ARCH/g to help.
