Best way to compile Mysql 4.1.x with Linuxthreads support on AMD64?

Does the bug apply for AMD64 on Linux as well?

I wanted to use InnoDB for some of the write-heavy tables

How do you compile (the port) without InnoDB?
.. there are no references to innodb or myisam in the makefile.
