Athlon64 moble processors start up in their lowest speed -- the PowerNow!
driver is responsible for speeding up the processor. Not this is opposite
from that past and was done because some laptop manufactors wanted to be
able to drive an Athlon64 with cheaper temperature and power
requirements. Such that a laptop could overheat and fry itself if run at
full speed for long periods of time.
