(no more) panic with option SMP

I guess the subject says it all: thanks to David's patch, -CURRENT with
option SMP does boot normally on my machine. Thanks guys, both David and
Peter. I'll now go do other foolish things, like installing LISP ports
and/or mucking with ed(4).
