anybody running port www/amaya

Being unable to build firefox3 on alpha I turned in desperation
to other web browsers from ports. I built www/amaya fine, but
get this error on start-up:

% amaya 
Gdk-ERROR **: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
  serial 129 error_code 2 request_code 51 minor_code 0
% 

The developers' advice is to use devel/strace to trace the problem, but
it only builds on i386.

Is anybody using this port on alpha?
