I am no expert... but I believe you may need to tell it to boot from the
CD. Someone more familiar will have to explain if they agree.
I think I initially figured it out via 'help'... but I also had a
manual.. wish I knew where it was now.

I have buy last a alphaserver800 5/400 so I like to learn freebsd and
