You can load a different version from SRM plus PALcode. Both up and
downgrades will work. I have sofar not seen showstoppers with SRM
on FreeBSD. We did have that with Tru64 etc, no surprise really,
as SRM/PAL upgrades are done for a reason and not for the sake of it.
