FreeBSD 5.3-BETA2 fails on ES45

[I originally sent this from work but our DNS was stuffed so it wasn't
 accepted by FreeBSD.org.  Apologies if a second copy eventually appears]

Probably not a surprise but I thought it would have gotten further
than it did: It starts loading the kernel, spinning happily for a
while and then just halts.  I've tried three times (including a
power-on reset) with the same results (except the reported PC).  I
expected it not to die until it tried to actually run the kernel.
