Installing on Miata - X/KDE crashing

If anyone cares, I had a Miata I was trying to install 5.1 on.  KDE would run for a few minutes, then the machine would halt and reboot.  I was using a S3 Trio64 board with 2Meg memory on it.  I got a Matrox Millennium II with 4Meg (on ebay for $12) and now the idiot thing works.
