I'll check into it tonight.  My recollection from the DHCP logs is that
the initial query from SRM comes in and gets a reply but that its not
seeing these requests from the kernel.

Thanks for the tip!  I'm interested in why it works with Net/Open though.
Maybe I can research that once I get things up and running :).
