Hello,

I'm having essentially the same problem that Daniele was having in this thread from many years ago: https://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-acpi/2014-August/008737.html

After going through that whole thread, it seems that Daniele et al gave up on the battery status, but I'm feeling stubborn in my attempt to breath new life into this old platform. I haven't gotten to compiling a custom kernel, but I can if it seems necessary.
