That's not I wanted to 'fix.'  I wanted to give more information.  
That's all.

OTOH, you can get the number of existing sockets and populated sockets 
via SMBIOS.  I have done that before and it is quite easy to 
implement in src/sys/boot/i386/libi386/smbios.c.
