Because we don't add directories there purely for the benefit of one
port. If the directory is used by other ports too, well, then you
*still* did the wrong thing because now all those ports will be broken
too.

You are supposed to *remove* the directories there, since they were
created by your port.

Next time, when you don't understand something, ask first before
leaping into action and then making refusals. That just makes you
look bad and other people angry.
